My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,
that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me
These are the words of our Lord’s prayer as recorded in St John’s Gospel, ch. 17.
We believe that it is our Lord’s desire for His Church to be united, with one purpose, one spirit, one love. For this reason we who find ourselves in the North Gillingham Church, we esteem one another as brothers and sisters. We celebrate our differences in the spirit of unity and love, accepting one another as brothers and sisters in Christ.
We endeavour to participate in God’s mission in Gillingham loving all His creatures. We believe that every human person is made in the image and likeness of God and because of this we owe them respect and love, irrespective of colour, faith or creed.
For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
